Kerala Circle could achieve a remarkable figure of 3.26 Lakh new connections in one month .The scheme is launched naming as Loyal SIM .Free SIM s are issued to all customers who retain land connection for a minimum period of 3 years. Talk time Rs 15/ validity 180 days Scheme was launched on 16/8/2010and as on 21/9/10 the total figures in Kerala reached 3, 26,072 .Scheme is available up to 30/9/2010.The ides is mooted by our colleagues from Cannanore SSA and well received through out the State. DISTRICT CONFERENCE OF ALEPPEY SSA AT DCC OFFICE HALL 28/1/2010

                   District Conference was inaugurated at 10.30 A.M.by the Hon DCC president Shri Shukoor M.L.A.Shri D Sugathan gave away the awards to outstanding children of Union members and momentoes were presented to retired employees .Calendar and an umbrella was distributed to all delegates.More than 120 delegates attended from various parts of the SSA including large number of lady delegates

                  Shri Thomas Joh K All India president delivered the key note address. Shri K.K.Gopakumar Circle Secretary explained the merits and defects of the Wage revision recommendations signed by BSNLEU with Management on 15/1/2010.

CIRCLE WORKING COMMITTEE TRICHUR KERALA 23/1/2010

       CWC of the union was held at INDIRA BHAVAN Trichur at 10.30 A.M, on 23 rd inst of January 2010.shri R, Chandrasekharan ,State President INTUC Kerala was the Chief Guest. He gave a short description of the meeting he had with Hon Dr Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India under the leadership of Dr Sanjeeva Reddy M.P.on 22nd January 2010. He explained about the memorandum submitted and the historic agreeement with Hon P.M. regasrding the introduction of enhancement of Gratuvity limit from Rs 3 Lakhs to Rs 10 Lakhs to Private sector Employees as is done for Central Government Employees.Shri K.V.Haridasan State Presdient presided.Shri Thomas John All India President could not attend as he was not well.Sasikumar P r Nair All India org Secretary also spoke.

      K.K.Gopakumar Circle Secretary explained the merits and defects of the Wage agreeement signed by BSNLEU alone on 15/1/2010 and about the 5 promotion which we missed at par with Executives.The CWC decided to hold the Circle Conference early either at Kottayam or at Aleppey.Trichur and Ernakulam is also considered as possible venue for Circle Conference.

Circle Working Committee at Kottayam on 23/11/07.
            The Circle Working Committee meeting of our Union was held at District Congress Committee office Kottayam on 23/11/07.The president of the District Congress Committee Shri K.C.Joseph MLA inaugurated the CWC.Shri Anto Antony(Convenor UDF Kottayam)District president INTUC Shri Thomas kalladan,addressed.Shri THOMAS JOHN K,All India President delivered the key note address.Shri K.V.Haridasan State president of the Union presided.
            All India organising Secretary M.K.Beeran actively participated.Out of 11 District Secretaries 9 participated except(Trichur&Aleppey)Except 3 all other 12 officebearers participated.

Decisions

  • 1. Next CWC will be held at Cannanore in March 2008
  • 2. Regional Training class for BranchSecretaries will be held in January 2008 at Palghat (For Districts Cannanore,Calicut,Palghat,Malappuram&Trichur) and at Thiruvalla(For Districts Ernakulam,Aleppey,Kottayam,Thiruvalla,Quilon and Trivandrum).
  • 3.Before 31/12/07 All District Committees should be held by inviting at least one officebearer from Circle.
  • 4. District/Branch Secretarties should take utmost interest in discussion in Work Committees .All the Districts District Secretaries are nomiated by BSNLEU .The only agenda should be how to make BSNL financially strong.
  • 5. All the squad work,District Conventions and Comibined General Body meetings with BSNLEU should be utilised by our office bearers for organising work of our Union in connection with the strike on 12/12/07.

KerThe District Conference was held at District Congress committee office of Aleppey(DCC) on 19 th December 2007.Shri Thomas John K was the chief guest.The DCC President Mr M>A>Shukkur inaugurated the conference.The INTUC District President Shri AK Rajan felicitated.Shri D Sugathan Ex MLA gave away the Awards to the outstanding children of FNTO Members.The Hon DCC President who was formerly KSU/Youth Congress president promised in the meeting that he will depute one General Secretary of the DCC to supervise and assist the activities of the Union.This is in response to the remarks of District Secretay FNTO and leader Local Council Shri R Manoharan that the union is not keeping daily relation with the Party eventhough it has excellant support from Party and INTUC.Shri Thomas John explained in detail the deliberations of the Promotion committee and replied to several doubts of the delegates.He also explained the present position of BSNL and requested methods to strengthen it.

               Shri K.K.Gopakumar Circle Secretary explained the position of BSNL in Kerala and the special situation of Aleppey SSA where the GM was summoned by CGM on the request of staff side. A discussion was held with GM ,CGM, Leader /Secretary Circle Council,District secretaries of Aleppey SSA to bring back normalcy in the District. The role of leader staff side was commented by District Secretary in the meeting.
                 About 152 delegates with a good number of ladies attended the Conference. District President Shri George presided.
                 Shri Joseph PT welcomed the gathering. He is the only Branch Secretary in the State to send quota to CHQ promptly.
